Thursday would be no good for us unless the Burnley game is shifted back to the Sunday so we get a days extra rest.
We should be pushing for it to be on the Weds night.
Should also only give them 3,000 tickets like we did to Chelsea 2 years ago.
Could be a while before the date, tickets etc.are officially announced.

Yeah I'd imagine we'd kick up if they request Thursday. Whether it's Wed or Thurs they will be playing two games in 48 hours as they also have a Saturday game after.
They'd probably prefer a Thursday game as it puts us in the same boat as them then with two games in quick succession.

I doubt if we would play Thursday as we already playing on Saturday. Fuck Spurs it's not our problem.

Sounds like it will have to be the 31st then. Which is a bit of a nightmare for them in terms of fixture congestion given that it's sandwiched between two Champions League and two PL games, all of which they'll consider a higher priority.
Full strength for this one I hope. Would love to give them a good hiding.

Everton v Saints was easily moved as neither team is in Europe.

There are no free midweek slots until the quarter final stage in mid December because of Premier league, European & International fixtures

It wouldn't surprise me if the fixture was postponed for about 3 or 4 weeks to the next available mid week slot in order to accomodate them.
Everton v Southampton was postponed in the last round so there is a precedent for this. Also Spurs were allowed to use MK Dons stadium as their 'home ground' when neither of their TWO alternative home venues were available for use.
In short, the football authorities seem happy to make the rules up as they go along, particularly for Spurs.

Spurs shouldn't be complaining about playing twice in 48 hours if the game is on the Weds night, it's their new stadium delays that meant their game v Man C was put back from Sunday to the Monday night.
Not our problem is it
